Once a week the Afternoon-Playgroup is taking place at the Waldkindergarten Wentorf. It is specifically aimed at refugees, but open to local families as well. The kids have the chance to play freely while the parents can engange in conversations, relax and enjoy nature over a cup of tea or coffee. The playgroup is free of charge.
Depending on the season and age of the kids we offer different activities such as:
- crafting with materials we find in nature
- wilderness awareness
- exploring the nearby appleorchards
- reading sessions in the caravan
- bonfire with children’s punch
If it’s raining we have the option to escape into the caravan or the big tipi.
Main goal: Integration of families
Main goal of this playgroup is the integration of families using expert advice helping to strenghten their resources by playing and having fun. (Older) siblings are welcome too!
Community building, relaxation, closeness to nature, communication and building a supporting network are very close to our hearts.
Who we are
Who are we: Kristina (midwife from Wentorf) and Julia (wilderness awareness instructor from Aumühle).
Our knowledge of languages includes English, Russian, French and Italian and there is always the option of using hands and feet to communicate with you. 🙂
Please wear clothing suitable for the outdoors. If you don’t have any we will try and support you with donations as well as we can.
If it is difficult for you to make your way to the Lohe, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We will try our best to find creative solutions to get you there. Probably in March we will also start with an honorary driving service. Please contact us for details!
On Saturday the 7th of October we invite you to an international Café at the Waldkindergarten! All are welcome, young and old. Feel free to bake and bring your favorite cake or another delicacy from your home country! 🙂

We usually meet on Wednesdays from 3:30 pm to 5 pm, occasionally we swap the Wednesday for a Monday (20.9., 4.10., 8.11., 22.11. and 6.12.2023)). There is always the potential of last minute changes so please contact us if you would like to join. We will add you to our What’s App group and/or our mailing list.
